Christina M. Phillips is an associate at Childress, Duffy, Ltd., headquartered in Chicago. She focuses on insurance recovery and related litigation. She represents the insured policyholder in property insurance claims and lawsuits involving construction defect issues. She has negotiated, adjusted, and prosecuted insurance claims arising in numerous states.
Education
Christina received her J.D. in 2005 from The John Marshall Law School and a B.A. from St. Mary’s College in 2002.
Honors
Christina has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s TIPS Property Insurance Law General Committee within the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section for the 2011-2012 fiscal year.

She values community involvement and works as a Trial Advocacy Coach at The John Marshall Law School.

Publications and Speaking Engagements
Christina participated as a panel speaker at the HB Construction Litigation Leader’s Forum Teleconference on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She presented the topic, “Bringing Money to the Table: Resolving Construction Disputes.”
Her publications include Chapter 18: “Homeowners Insurance: The Real Estate Attorney’s Role,” Real Estate, IICLE (2008) and the revised chapter (2011).
She has also participated in Risk Worldwide’s blog talk radio show, presenting the topic, “Homeowners Alert.” In this interview, she answers questions regarding how homeowners can make sure that they have the right coverage and the items that are typically covered under a homeowner’s policy.
