Christina M. Phillips is a partner at Childress, Duffy, Ltd., headquartered in Chicago. She focuses on insurance recovery and related litigation. She represents the insured policyholder in property insurance claims and lawsuits involving construction defect issues. She has negotiated, adjusted, and prosecuted insurance claims arising in numerous states.
Christina received her J.D. in 2005 from The John Marshall Law School and a B.A. from St. Mary’s College in 2002.
Christina has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s TIPS Property Insurance Law General Committee within the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section for the 2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2013-2014 fiscal years.
Christina was named as a Rising Star in the 2012 and 2013 llinois Super Lawyers list. The Rising Stars list represents no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state.
Christina won the “Monique Raynaud-Contamine Prize” for best legal report by a young lawyer at the 2012 “Union Internationale des Avocats” (“UIA”) Congress in Dresden, German. The Prize is given to the authors of the two best legal reports drafted for the UIA’s annual Congresses.
Christina was chosen as one of Chicago Magazine’s Top Women Attorneys in 2013
She values community involvement and has worked as a Trial Advocacy Coach at The John Marshall Law School.

Christina participated as a panel speaker at the HB Construction Litigation Leader’s Forum Teleconference on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She presented the topic, “Bringing Money to the Table: Resolving Construction Disputes.”
Her publications include Chapter 18: “Homeowners Insurance: The Real Estate Attorney’s Role,” Real Estate, IICLE (2008) and the revised chapter (2011).
